GEO optimisation: get found on ChatGPT
GEO optimisation prepares your website so search engines and generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini can understand your business and mention it in their answers. It helps you stay visible as customers move from searching to asking questions.

What is GEO optimisation?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation. It means preparing a website so systems such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews can understand its content and cite it as a source in their answers.
What is AEO?
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimisation. It has a similar aim but focuses on the individual question. Content is written to answer a question directly, in AI chats, voice assistants or Google’s answer boxes.
How does it differ from SEO?
SEO aims for a good position in search results. GEO and AEO aim to appear in the answer itself. Their foundations overlap, because a fast, well-organised website with clear facts helps with both.
Why does it matter for businesses in South Tyrol?
Someone asking AI to recommend a provider in South Tyrol receives a few specific suggestions rather than a list of ten links. If your business is not in that answer, they do not see it.
What we work on.
AI search optimisation takes ongoing work. AI systems compare information about a business across several sources. That is why we work on both your website and your brand's presence across the web.
On your website
Content
Who you are, where you are and what you do, written in clear sentences that make sense on their own. These are passages AI systems can use in their answers.
Answers to real questions
We collect the questions your customers ask and answer them on the relevant pages, with the answer in the first sentence.
Structure
One topic per page, headings that address questions and clear internal links.
Structured data
JSON-LD using Schema.org for your business, address, opening hours, services and common questions, linked to your profiles on other platforms.
Technical foundations
Content delivered directly in HTML rather than loaded later with JavaScript, a robots.txt file that allows crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Google, an XML sitemap, short loading times and correctly linked language versions on multilingual websites.
Around your brand
Google Business Profile
A complete profile with relevant categories, opening hours, services and current photographs. Google uses this information for Maps and local answers.
Consistent information
Your name, address, phone number and website should match everywhere, from map services to business directories. Contradictions make information less reliable for AI systems, which are then less likely to cite it.
Mentions on other platforms
We check where your business appears in forums, on review platforms and on regional websites. Where possible, we correct inaccurate information and add missing listings.
Reviews
We keep track of what customers write about you on Google and other platforms. This information also contributes to AI answers.
Check and refine
At regular intervals, we ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google the same questions. We compare whether and how your business is mentioned, then adjust content and listings.
This website follows the same approach. Each service page starts with an answer, headings address questions, and facts and common questions are also provided as structured data in the code.
Questions about AI search optimisation.
Can I start with an analysis of my website?
Yes. On request, we prepare a report showing how AI systems currently present your business and where your website and listings have gaps. We then discuss the next steps with you.
Is AI search optimisation included in a new tc solution website?
No. AI search optimisation is an additional service that you can book with your new website for an extra fee. The foundations of search engine optimisation are usually already included.
Do you optimise websites built by other agencies?
Yes. In our first conversation, we look at your existing website and discuss what can be done.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend my business?
No. AI systems generate each answer afresh, with an element of randomness. The businesses they mention can change from one query to the next. Thorough optimisation does, however, significantly increase the likelihood of your business being included.
Does GEO replace traditional search engine optimisation?
No. GEO extends SEO. SEO aims for a place in search results; GEO aims for a mention in the answer itself. Both rely on the same foundations, including a fast website with clear content.
Ask ChatGPT about your business.
Then tell us what it says. We will get back to you for an initial conversation.
